Jackie's Home Run, a local community of dog-lovers who live near Harlem's historic Jackie Robinson Park, are hosting a swap meet for pups on Saturday, August 5th at 10 am.
Their description of the event:
Many of us have drawers full of harnesses, toys, leashes, and boots that our pups have outgrown or that just haven't worked out. Bring your gently used items - including unopened food and treats - to share at the Doggie Swap Meet. You might just find the perfect thing for your four-legged friend. Bring the doggos so you can try things on to be sure they're the right fit. Free for those with items to share. If you haven't anything to swap, please plan to make a $5 donation to Jackie's Home Run. At the end of the day, any unclaimed items will be donated to Animal Haven, a local pet adoption foundation, according to their donation guidelines.
The goal of Jackie's Home Run is to support the park, its pups, and its pawrents with social connection, education, and information about local dog resources.
