Neighborhood Business, Hogshead Tavern, Closes its Doors for Good

Hogshead Tavern, a beloved neighborhood bar on Hamilton Place, announced its closing earlier this week.

By Instagram and Facebook post, Hogshead owners wrote, "To all of our Hogshead friends and family, we sadly regret to inform you that we will be closing our doors permanently as of today. Unfortunately the effects of COVID have had a devastating effect on us just as it has for many restaurants and small business across the city. We want to thank all of our wonderful patrons and the amazing diverse people of Hamilton Heights for welcoming and supporting us since 2014. Peace and love."

Hogshead offered the community outdoor seating throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as outdoor jazz shows on Friday evenings in 2020. This bar and restaurant will surely be missed by many.
