Weekend Volunteer Opportunity in St. Nicholas Park

This weekend, Friends of St. Nicholas Park and the Dog Run at St. Nicholas Park are calling on Harlemites to come out and help clean up the Dog Run just in time for spring.

Join your neighbors this Saturday, April 10, 2021 and Sunday, April 11, 2021 from 9 am to 12 pm at St. Nicholas Park, St Nicholas Avenue, West 135th St, New York, NY 10032 for the first Clean-Up of the new year. Volunteers will help to dig out the lower fence line, spread wood chips, and pick up garbage. Join for as much or as little as your schedule allows.

The organizers ask that volunteers social distance and wear a mask in the Run. Gloves, tools, and light refreshments will be provided. The organizers also ask that volunteers bring their own cup or thermos for drinks in an attempt to reduce waste.

Please note that the gates to the Run will be open from 9 am to 12 pm, and organizers recommend volunteers to leave their dogs at home.

Sunday clean-up activities may be canceled due to rain. Check the Dog Run's instagram @thedogrunsnp for updates.
